Swedish duo Andrelli & Blue, alongside vocalist Hila, made quite an impression on listeners in the beginning of 2008 with their debut release "Imagine". Returning with a distinctly smooth and sexy flavour is their debut release for Coldharbour Recordings, entitled "Transparent".

The original was deemed as one of the outstanding inclusions on Markus Schulz's Hypnotic compilation CD for Armani Exchange, and also received support early on from Armin van Buuren on his A State Of Trance radio show.

Having already established themselves as firm Coldharbour favourites, Texan duo Tritonal deliver their Air Up There perspective on Transparent, and the results have been given firm approval by the fans, as it has become one of Markus Schulz's most requested tracks on Global DJ Broadcast and Evolution over the past three months.

Wrapping up the package is a remix by the much heralded and respected Jody Wisternoff of Way Out West fame, who offers a more downtempo offering, but will appeal to fans of his unhibited and unique style.

Dub versions of the original and Jody's mix are also available to purchase.

The weather may be getting colder, but Transparent will doubtlessly bring back memories of lush and fresh summertime.

[CLHR054] Tritonal feat. Cristina Soto - Walk With Me

Image

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR054
Release Date: September 22nd 2008

Walk With Me (Original Mix)
Walk With Me (4am Dub)
Walk With Me (Air Up There Remix)

Once every so often a producer or group bursts into the forethoughts of many progressive and trance enthusiasts, immediately finding a position in the CD cases of the world's best DJs.

For the summer of 2008, Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, better known as Tritonal, find themselves in this very position.

Based in Austin, Texas, they have quickly been winning over fans of both progressive and uplifting trance, thanks to their engaging melodies. Tracks such as Essence of Kea, Forever and Lights over Austin have been great cause for recognition, and now they make their bow for Coldharbour Recordings with a track that fits all the etiquetts for the label, entitled "Walk With Me".

Immediately identified as one of the outstanding gems on Markus Schulz's Armada at Ibiza compilation, Cristina Soto's beautiful vocals give the track a real emotional mood, the feeling that love is everything. With a trademark Coldharbour-style bassline to match, it is no surprise fans of Global DJ Broadcast consider this as one of their personal picks of 2008.

Tritonal are responsible for all three mixes on the package. A 4am Dub is available for those who prefer the track without Cristina's vocals, and Tritonal provide a more uplifting touch to the third mix, aptly titled "Air Up There" - perfect for the peak time moment in a set.

With an enormous amount of support by Markus on both his Global DJ Broadcast and Evolution radio shows, Walk With Me looks set to quickly become a fixture in many DJ sets over the coming months.

With such an impressive debut, fans can expect to hear a lot more from Tritonal on Coldharbour Recordings in the near future.

[CLHR053] Hammer & Herbick feat. Boytronic - You

Image

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR053
Release Date: September 8th 2008

Funabashi Remix
Blake Jarrell Vocal Mix
Blake Jarrell Instrumental Mix
Dyor Remix

The first of four releases on the Coldharbour imprint in September sees Mario Hammer, no stranger to followers of Coldharbour Recordings, team up with fellow German producer Herbick with a tough and groovy offering, with a little help from the past.

The roots can be traced to 25 years ago, where German electropop group Boytronic released You as their debut single. Inspired by this track from their youth, Hammer and Herbick decided to bring the track back to life for 2008, with a sprinkle of the modern electro groove.

The remix package is one to be reckoned with. First up are another German duo and Coldharbour favourites Funabashi, whose remix immediately struck a rapport with Markus Schulz, featuring the track several times on Global DJ Broadcast in the first quarter of the year. Their remix has gone on to receive further support from the likes of Matt Darey.

Chicago's Blake Jarrell, who has enjoyed a busy schedule in 2008, spent some time in the studio at the beginning of the summer to offer a typical groovy interpretation, with a beautiful string-based break that will appeal to many. Unsurprisingly, Blake's remix has featured prominently in his own sets, particularly at his Amnesia appearances in Ibiza through July and August. Blake's remix comes in both vocal and instrumental versions.

Last but not least, Italian Dyor delivers the first of two remixes. Having caught the imagination of many with his track Emotions, he delivers a tough and pulsating remix already receiving support from many DJs. A second remix, entitled the Dyor Big Room Remix, shall be released on the next edition of Coldharbour Selections in October.

[CLHR052] Mr. Pit feat. Vicky Fee - Back For More

Image

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR052
Release Date: August 25th 2008

Back For More (Original Mix)
Back For More (Intro Mix)
Back For More (Funabashi Remix)
Back For More (Funabashi Dub)
Back For More (System22 Remix)

"I have been here once before, but still came back for more".

For many, they are the words one ponders when it comes to another annual pilgrimage to Ibiza. When Markus Schulz was presented with the task of composing his first Armada at Ibiza CD, beginning his musical journey with this track was a natural choice.

Hailing from Romania and hot off the heels of top-selling release Shana, Mr. Pit returns with Back For More, accompanied by vocalist Vicky Fee.

The original has that typical melodic vibe that fans have become accustomed to over the past few months. Vicky's vocals deliver a subtle yet contemplative take on many questions, of life, love and adventure.

Firstly on remix duty is a name synonymous with the origins of Coldharbour Recordings, and remains a prominent brand today, Funabashi. The German duo of Tom Porcell and Kevin Sieja offer their typical melodic bliss to the main lead, with groovy electro-laced undertones thrown in for good measure. This has proved to have been popular with Markus Schulz, particularly on his Evolution radio show.

Complimenting the package are duo Cody Williams and Sean Myracle, better known to many as System22. Known for their strong electro tendencies, they provide Back For More with a more raw and moody atmosphere.

Immediately striking a rapport with listeners of all the major radio shows, the track is destined to be remembered with fondness when 2008 comes to a close. And when it comes to determining which producers made the biggest impact this year, Mr. Pit's name will feature prominently in the thinking of many.

[CLHR051] Agnelli & Nelson present The A&N Project - Sleeping In Airports

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR051
Release Date: August 11th 2008

Sleeping In Airports (Original Mix)
Sleeping In Airports (Element One's Missed Flight Remix)
Sleeping In Airports (Steve Allen & Ben Alonzi Remix)

Hot off delivering an epic remix of Markus Schulz's single Perfect, Irish duo Chris Agnelli and Robbie Nelson make a quick return to Coldharbour Recordings with the much anticipated Sleeping In Airports, a track name no doubt many DJs themselves can resonate with..

The track has been a big favourite of Markus over the past 16 months. A previous Global Selection winner and the highlight of many from Markus' Amsterdam '08 compilation also indicated that it is heralded quite highly by the listeners.

The original is indicative of the requirements for a track to become a Coldharbour classic. Powerful progressive moods, with a trademark topline melody to deliver maximum effect in the clubs and festivals.

For the full package, Markus has assembled a group of young, up and coming names who have had an impressive 2008. First, enter fellow Miami resident Element One. Fresh from his devastating production Guanacaste, which made an appearance on Markus' Armada at Ibiza CD recently, he applies his strong, energetic bassline to the original, with impressive results. His remix also picked up the Global Selection prize on Global DJ Broadcast in June.

Last but not least are Leicester pair Steve Allen & Ben Alonzi, who have worked a trancier version, geared for those with more uplifting tastes. The track has been supported by Markus with a play on his Evolution radio show.

It is not just Markus Schulz who has supported the track vigorously. Sleeping In Airports has received plays from Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Solarstone and Agnelli & Nelson themselves.

Sleeping In Airports has taken a long time to touch down and receive a full release, but now that it is here, it is most certainly worth the wait.

[CLHR050] Markus Schulz feat. Andy Moor - Daydream

Image

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR050
Release Date: July 28th 2008

Original Mix
Benya Remix
Lemon & Einar K Progressive Remix
Lemon & Einar K Uplifting Remix
Ormatie Remix
Ronski Speed Remix

The fifth single release from Markus Schulz's album Progression, and the fiftieth release on Coldharbour Recordings, would be regarded by many as the most eagerly anticipated of them all.

When news broke that Markus had been working alongside Andy Moor in a production capacity, many regarded it as a match made in heaven. They were not disappointed, as Daydream dominated dancefloors across Ibiza and all the major summer festivals in 2007.

Daydream holds some memories of personal reflection, particularly for Andy Moor. The track was dedicated to his late uncle Douglas Hall, who sadly died of illness last year. Daydream will forever be dedicated to his memory, and therefore many people can claim a common rapport to the track in moments of sadness and sympathy.

With the remix package finally completed, it looks set to be the biggest release on Coldharbour Recordings to date.

The original mix is nicely complimented by an effort from two of Coldharbour's rising stars, Benya, and Ormatie. Already receiving support from Matt Darey, the talented Dane produces yet another masterpiece in manipulating melody in his own unique style, and is sure to have a great appeal among regular Global DJ Broadcast listeners. Russian Ormatie's take will resonate with the more down-tempo and progressive minded of listeners, ideal for any afterhours set.

However, with the big room clubs in mind, Markus brought in some heavyweights to deliver the knockout effect. Step up German Ronski Speed, who delivers a tough, pounding tech style atmosphere which has proved popular with DJs such as Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren.

Lastly, but by no means least, Norwegian duo Lemon & Einar K provide two interpretations of Daydream. So impressed was Markus of their track Anticipation, he asked them to produce a Progressive Mix and an Uplifting Mix. The Progressive Mix has already been supported hugely by Andy Moor himself, with plays on his live sets and podcast.

The Uplifting Remix has been hammered by Dutch master Ferry Corsten at every live gig in the past four months. Markus himself unleashed it to the Winter Music Conference audience in Miami, and has become his most requested track in any of his live gig and festival appearances throughout the summer. Listeners to Global DJ Broadcast have awarded the accolade of Global Selection winner to the remix on both occasions Markus gave it a spin on his World Tour series.

It is somewhat appropriate that Daydream signifies the landmark of Coldharbour Recordings celebrating 50 releases. Daydream allows us to reflect on the past, think about the presents, and look forward to the future.

[CLHR049] Mr. Pit - Shana / Love You More

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR049
Release Date: July 14th 2008

Shana (Original Mix)
Shana (Duderstadt Progressive Dub)
Shana (Plastic Angel vs. Duderstadt Remix)
Shana (Plastic Angel vs. Duderstadt Vocal Mix)
Love You More

Romania's Adrian Ivan has firmly established himself as a Global DJ Broadcast and Coldharbour Recordings star at an incredibly rapid rate. After making his debut on Coldharbour Selections Part 15 with Isolarium, and teaming with B.E.N. for their Superstition / More Manners Please EP, he embarked on solo projects once again, which resulted in a more melodic output.

The result was outstanding. After Markus Schulz played the original on the January 10th edition of Global DJ Broadcast, and seeing how much the listeners and fans immediately fell in love with the track by voting for it as a runaway Global Selection winner, it was inevitable that Shana would find its home on Coldharbour Recordings.

The remix package has also proved to be incredibly successful. Enter brothers Marco and Drik Duderstadt, who put their touch on two seperate remixes, one of which with Afterglow Records' label owner and close friend Plastic Angel. The Duderstadt Progressive Dub Mix is geared very much for the dancefloor, and it has caught the attention of bg room DJs such as Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. Listeners of Ferry's show, Corsten's Countdown, voted this remix as their number 1 track for June 2008. The Plastic Angel vs. Duderstadt remix is available in both vocal and instrumental versions.

Last but not least, the package is completed by a second track from Mr. Pit himself, Love You More. Produced in similar vein to Shana, it has proved to be just as popular with Markus Schulz, who has played the track regularly on Global DJ Broadcast, and was featured in his live set from Mexico City as part of the GDJB World Tour.

It all shapes up to provide a very strong package, ahead of Coldharbour's milestone of reaching 50 label releases. You can also expect Mr. Pit to feature again on the label in the near future, as he teams up with vocalist Vicky Fee to produce the track Back For More, which will be featured on Markus' new Armada at Ibiza compilation CD.

Release Code: CLHR048
Release Date: June 23rd 2008

Lens - Beyond The Shadows (Robert Vadney Remix)
Jonathan Martin - Illuminous
Canyon Boulevard - Kimchi

Another Coldharbour Selections offering, highlighting three of the biggest tracks from Global DJ Broadcast and Markus Schulz's live sets over the past 6 months.

First up is Los Angeles-based Lens, also known as Ken Spector. Beyond The Shadows was originally released on Coldharbour Recordings Red at the beginning of the year. However, it has now been given the remix treatment by talented youngster Robert Vadney, offering a tougher and more purposeful alternative to the original, geared more torwards club sets.

Secondly, we introduce the youngest member on the Coldharbour Recordings roster, 14 year old Jonathan Martin. Illuminous received many plays on both Global DJ Broadcast and A State Of Trance at the tail end of last year, and it looks sure to feature in the sets of many now that the full release has arrived.

Last but not least is one of the most prominent tracks of Markus' live sets, highlighted by its many appearances on the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour sets. Ferry and Jamie, from Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada, team up to form Canyon Boulevard. Kimichi is a tough-electro influenced track that guarantees to get any crowd going. Release Code: CLHR047
Release Date: May 26th 2008

They Always Come Back (Original Mix)
They Always Come Back (Intro Mix)
They Always Come Back (M.I.K.E. Remix)

Toronto native Arney Secerkadic is regarded as an exciting and hot prospect for the future, both in production and DJing capacities. For several years he produced and DJed under the 8 Wonders alias, where his tracks were championed by DJs such as DJ Precision among others.

In the summer of 2007 Arney reverted to a more progressive style of production, and this was well received with balearic-influenced tracks "Rendezvous" and "People Come, People Go". Now he delivers his first production for Coldharbour Recordings, and it looks set to be one of the biggest tunes of 2008.

The original has been a permanent fixture in the boxes of Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules and Sander van Doorn in recent months, receiving rapturous reception on any dancefloor worldwide. On remix duties is a legend in his own right, with Antwerp's M.I.K.E. offering a tough electro alternative. In addition, Arnej also produced a special intro mix, perfect for opening a momentus set of your own.

[CLHR046] B.E.N. & Mr. Pit - More Manners Please / Superstition

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR046
Release Date: May 12th 2008

More Manners Please
Superstition

Earmarked by Markus Schulz as two names to watch out for in 2008, the newest release on Coldharbour Recordings has been anticipated for quite some time. England's Ben Greenwood (B.E.N.), a protégé of John '00' Fleming, teams up with Romanian Adrian Ivan (Mr. Pit), to deliver a slice of tough, pounding beats, intertwined with harmonic breakdowns leaving the listener begging for more.

More Manners Please formed an integral part of Markus Schulz's Amsterdam '08 compilation, and looks sure to be a hot sellers ahead of the Ibiza season, receiving support from Ferry Corsten, Tiesto and Paul van Dyk among others.

Looking back to last year, Superstition was a staple in both Markus and Armin van Buuren's sets at Amnesia last year as well as at the major festivals. After brief hibernation throughout the winter months, the track looks set to be unleashed on dancefloors for the summer of 2008, guaranteeing a huge reaction among fans of trance or electro.

Both guys have quickly established themselves as favourites among Global DJ Broadcast listeners, and due to the success of their first collaborative E.P. release, it looks likely that they will work together again in the future.

[CLHR045] Nifra - Ready

Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR045
Release Date: April 28th 2008

Ready (Original Mix)
Ready (Randy Boyer & Eric Tadla Remix)
Ready (Robert Nickson Remix)

19 year old Nicoll aka Nifra from Slovakia makes her debut on Coldharbour Recordings with the release of her first production, Ready. The track picked up early interest from Markus Schulz by playing it several times on Global DJ Broadcast in November. The original version has proved popular with GDJB listeners, and this was taken further with plays on Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance, Above & Beyond's Trance Around The World and Marcus Schossow's Tone Diary radio shows.

Complimenting the original is a remix from a duo who are familiar names to Coldharbour, Randy Boyer & Eric Tadla, better known to many as EnMass. Their remix is geared more towards the clubs, slightly darker and moody setting the right tone in the middle of a set. You may have heard this remix when Markus Schulz played it in his GDJB World Tour set from Turnmills in London. Last but not least, Dutch producer and Armada favorite Robert Nickson delivers his trademark uplifting sound, giving the melody more of a big room trance feeling.

Perfect (Jerome Isma-Ae Dub Mix)

The release of Perfect sees Markus Schulz team up with good friend Noel Sanger and wife Dauby. Perfect is the ultimate feel-good record, with catchy vocals guaranteed to put that little smile on your face. The remix package is arguably the strongest assembled for a Markus Schulz single release to date. Grabbing all the headlines unsurprisingly are Irish duo Agnelli & Nelson, following on from their massive remix of John O’Callaghan’s Big Sky. Their remix of Perfect can be described as such, perfect. It has received huge support from Markus Schulz himself, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk.

Complimenting the huge Agnelli & Nelson remix are offerings made in Germany. Munich’s Jerome Isma-Ae has made waves in recent months with his productions and remixes, and his remix of Perfect is guaranteed to attract the progressive-house minded among us. Release Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Release Code: CLHR041
Release Date: February 11th 2008

Benya - Dione
Mike Mikhjian - The Light On The Other Side
Skytech - Floating Clouds

Markus Schulz's Coldharbour Selections return for 2008 with the 16th edition. Featured on this selection are a group of very young and talented producers who are well known by regular listeners of Global DJ Broadcast.

Danish producer Ben Bording returns under his Benya alias for his third production on the label, and has been popular with GDJB listeners since Markus Schulz debuted the track back in April of last year. It was also one of the highlights of Ben's guest mix for the show. The track itself is what you would usually expect, a warm, crisp, melodic feeling throughout, and for me definitely something you would like to listen to again and again.

Young Detroit producer Mike Mikhjian makes his Coldharbour debut with The Light On The Other Side, with a nice piano hook in the middle complimenting soft and brooding vocals throughout. Mike is a name to watch out for in 2008 for sure.

And last but not least, Poland's Anguilla Project deliver a wonderful track under their Skytech alias, Floating Clouds. The track was so popular on Global DJ Broadcast that listeners voted it as their Global Selection pick for three successive weeks in May 2007, a record it shares with Markus Schulz feat. Andy Moor - Daydream. Markus has supported the track vigourously throughout his Ibiza residency last summer and he aired it at the big festivals including his Essential Mix set from the Planetlove Festival in September
